I've seen, tried to close and mostly closely watched quite a few presidents of Venezuela and other countries.
My purpose is to develop a historical, political and legal on the presidential institution will eventually be given to advertising.
For now I want to limit to present, in summary, the characteristics that, in my personal opinion, must meet the person seeking to be President of any nation.
1. The President must be respected person in order to be treated with due deference. Nothing more serious for any national community to be governed by someone ignoble and vile.
2. The President must have a significant and recognized personality, to be taken into account in many international activities requiring modern diplomacy.
3. The President must be an educated person, for who knows and can relate with rigor and seriousness, the requirements and characteristics of contemporary life.
4. The President must be intelligent person possible to understand, analyze and study the problems and situations they face the Republic and the continent.
5. The President must be an idealist and dreamer for that, without prejudice to the reality, take the country forward and not dwell on history.
6. The President must be a democrat, so do not be tempted to Autocrat.
7. The President must have sufficient moral force to exactly meet the duties under their oath to uphold the Constitution and laws of the Republic.
8. The President must be deeply respectful of freedom, justice and human rights.
9. The President must know the history, geography, people, economy, in short words the truth of national life that it creates to be in Cuba, Switzerland and Tibet.
10. The President must be a person accustomed to constant work in order to fulfill its duties and obligations.
11. The President must be trained person demonstrated through the reality of an experience and not alleged preparations tested.
12. The president should be endowed with a strong personality and definite, that within the natural variants of human life allows citizens to know where they stand in front of him.
13. The President must be understanding and respectful of ideas and beliefs different from hers; know how to listen to dissenters.
14. The President must respect the fundamental institutions of the State and facilitate the fulfillment of their tasks.
15. The President must be supported by a clean personal history of attacks against democracy, freedom and respect for the institutions.
16. The president should not allow their family, their friends give them nothing but the law strictly.
17. The President should lead a blameless private life, because in the era we live in the privacy of the chief state affects the collective activity.
18. The President must be strong and resolute defender of national interests and the main driver of development, transformation and change that country needs.
19. The President must be brave and strong, especially when taking decisions requiring the welfare of the republic.
20. The President must be thoroughly honest in the conduct, management and administration of the patrimony of the Republic.
Extremely respect others' ideas, but it will be very difficult to deny that a President needs to gather those twenty conditions beyond those required by the Constitution.
In moments like those who live the Republic needed a President of twenty points. It can not fail any of them.
The only judge who must determine whether a person qualifies or not the citizen is twenty points when you vote.
Then each person, against his conscience, must decide which of the candidates on the ballot electoral guarantees those twenty points firmly and secure.
That is the only opportunity in which the citizen exercises his right to exercise sovereignty as a member belongs to the people. It is not a political issue, but purely national.
